Launched in 2016–2017 by the Arbois-Méditerranée Environmental Technology Park, the CleanTech incubator supports start-ups working in clean technologies, such as Bach Industries.
Located in the heart of the Aix-Marseille metropolitan area, it offers offices and shared spaces to innovative companies in the fields of water, energy, and waste management.
It currently hosts around 40 to 42 green start-ups, which benefit from a comprehensive support ecosystem. Certified “French Tech Cleantech Mobility,” it incorporates a local and national roadmap to accelerate the ecological transition. Start-ups benefit from personalized support:
financing, prototyping, promotion, legal assistance, and thematic events innov-hub.org.

The site also functions as a showroom, allowing companies to test their solutions in real-world conditions before bringing them to market. Remarkably, the incubated gems won 26 awards at CES in Las Vegas, representing 40% of French awards in 2022. This momentum has helped
rank the Arbois Technopole fourth in the world among environmental technopoles, behind Berlin, Boston, and Perth.
The real estate offering is flexible: offices starting at 16.5m² and future production workshops to support growing companies. With nearly 90 companies, 11 laboratories, 400 researchers, and 300 students present at the technopole, the CleanTech incubator is at the heart of a rich and
multidisciplinary ecosystem.

The SAFE competitiveness cluster covers four sectors: aeronautics, space, security, and defense.
As part of Phase 5 of the clusters (2023-2026), SAFE has chosen to combine the development of its sectors with four challenges, which are major societal issues for the sectors and territories and require a collective and multidisciplinary response: industrial and territorial resilience; sustainable mobility and autonomous systems; digital transition and security; energy and environmental performance.

SAFE brings together more than 450 members, mainly located in the South Region, two-thirds of which are companies. SAFE is one of the three hubs of the national aerospace industry. It is also an active contributor to the work of the “Security Industries” strategic committee and a recognized player in defense innovation. Its activities are also in line with ministerial guidelines
on energy transition, ecological transition, and regional resilience.

At the Paris Air Show (5)Salon international de l’Air et de l’Espace 2025), Bach-Industries had the honor of receiving a visit from the highest authorities of the General Delegation for Armament.
We presented our innovative technologies in the design of clean engines integrated into drone, aircraft, and light helicopter projects. Bach-Industries would like to express its sincere thanks to the SAFE cluster and Crédit Agricole Cap Innovation for their
particularly effective support.
